Measuring strips (PDF)
For accurate printing:
These measuring strips should print to exactly 24 centimetres.
- At the Print screen, choose the following options if they’re available on your machine: 100% of normal size or scaling 100%.
- If the strips print out too short, find and disable any page scaling options that might be shrinking the page, such as shrink large pages or fit to paper.
For accurate photocopying:
Check to see whether your photocopier is enlarging the strips. If so, use one of the following options if it is available on your machine:
- Feed the paper manually from its wider side rather than lengthwise. This will avoid the paper stretching lengthwise as it travels through the photocopier.
- Use the copy ratio feature to adjust the image size down.
